Why I wrote this adventure
From Lionheart to Ekrius.
My autobiographical series, Lionheart, Volumes 1 & 2, follows my own life through family, faith, education, grief, friendship, and the search for belonging. One question keeps returning: if you become the person who helps, fixes, and carries things, how do you learn that you still belong when you need a rest?
Ekrius carries that question into a fantasy world. He reads the terrain, notices a broken pattern, and wants to protect the people around him. His journey also asks him to listen, share responsibility, and accept that being capable does not mean being right every time.
Engineering meets imagination.
My work helps me imagine connected wards, roads, failures, and consequences. Music, dance, brotherhood, service, and chosen family help me imagine the company traveling through them. Their jokes matter as much as their impressive abilities. So do their stubborn habits and the things they struggle to say.
This is a passion project and a place to develop my storytelling. The companions have fictional lives of their own. I want them to feel like people worth spending an evening with, even when they are making the evening unnecessarily complicated.
